2 GCSE, PAL and TAL art students visited the Bonnard show at Tate Modern, to absorb and sketch from the paintings of one of the 20thc greatest painters, a supreme colourist.
We then crossed the river via the Millenium Bridge for the Bill Viola/ Michelangelo exhibition at the Royal Academy. Changing tubes at Westminster is quite a sci-fi architectural experience.
Despite the dramatically dark video rooms and subdued lighting revealing exquisite Michelangelo drawings, students still managed to draw in a corner of a Viola installation room.
We had beautifully sunny weather and walked about 6 miles - a very inspiring and healthy day!
Ms Macaree was assisted by 3 very helpful parents - Mme Norris, Mme Derrough, and Mr Smart, - to whom we are very grateful.
