Main duties:

  • Makes school meals according to the selected recipes and menus.
  • Prepares the meals supply.
  • Checks resources and equipment for her/his area.
  • Shares her/his cooking knowledge with members of the team
  • Complies with H.A.C.C.P. food hygiene regulations and logs in relevant information into the traceability system.
  • Maintains and cleans the catering premises and equipment.
  • Monitors the quality of food production.
  • Additional duties may be occasionally required

Requirements:

  • Cooking qualifications or experience
  • Masters cooking techniques.
  • Knows H.A.C.C.P. method thoroughly and strictly adheres to food safety regulations.
  • Deals efficiently with time constraints.
  • Uses and maintains kitchen equipment correctly and safely.
  • Dynamic, ability to take initiative and work as part of a team
  • Fluent in English, knowledge of French is desirable

Working hours: 40 hours per week (1600 hours per year) Monday to Friday, from 6:45am to 14h45pm

Workplace: South Kensington however will be based in Wandsworth SW18 4LT for the whole duration of the school year 2024-2025.

Monthly gross salary:

  • £2,498.74 (incl. all allowance)
  • Employer contribution to private healthcare
  • 15% employer contribution to private pension
  • 60 days holiday per annum

The Lycée is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all its staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All post holders are subject to satisfactory enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check. (This procedure is undertaken by the Lycée).
Additionally, anyone who has resided outside the UK will be asked to provide a criminal disclosure record from their previous countries of residence.
