The Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle, based in South Kensington, delivers a curriculum taught in French from 3 to 18 years old to around 3,500 children, under the authority of the French ministry of foreign affairs and includes a British Section for students who choose to pursue their Key Stage 4/5 studying GCSE’s and A Levels, taught in English. Outstanding public examination results are consistently achieved.

The Lycée is looking for a full time (19 hours/week) Science Teacher and Biology specialist from 6 January 2025 to 4 July 2025 to teach in the British Section. The successful candidate will have had successful experience of teaching the three sciences to GCSE and Biology to A Level.

Teaching will be in English, so whilst the ability to speak French is not essential, some knowledge of the language and culture would be desirable.
Candidates should be motivated, energetic and able to work as part of a team. They should be prepared to play an active part in the life of the school and to embrace the multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment.

You will be employed directly by the Lycée and your contract will be governed by English Law.

Monthly gross salary and benefits:

• From £ 36 000 per annum including all allowances for a full time
• Teacher pension
• 60 days holiday per annum for a full time
