Last Saturday, ahead of Sunday's famous Ealing Half Marathon, pupils of the André Malraux primary school took part in the Mini Mile.
The Ealing Half Marathon is a charity run which helps financially support local community projects. It is West London’s biggest running event fully road closed. For its 11th year, West London's biggest running event gathered 6,000 runners, 30,000 spectators and 700 volunteers. It was voted the UK’s best half marathon three years in a row.
The Mini Mile and the Family Mile races inspire over 2,000 young runners to get active and be part of a big weekend of sport in the West London borough.
28 pupils from Petite Section (age 3) to CM2 (age 11) proudly wore André Malraux primary school's colours and waved its French and British flags!
Positive values such as surpassing oneself, being generous and encouraging peers boosted the children who were running and their parents ; all were pleased to hear the school's head and secretary cheer for them!
