On Wednesday 13th October, the Italian class of Prof.ssa Meloni’s premieres of our Lycée attended a workshop part of the Erasmus + project we are participating in.
As such, each partner’s school (Marie Curie Schule, Volklingen - Germany, Istituto d’Istruzione Superiore G. Castelli, Siena – Italy, Istanbul Erkek Lisesi, Istanbul – Turkey) shared a presentation in which they showed their country’s or class’s ecological/carbon footprint, as well as other factors regarding the earth's health.
Later on, we were all divided into groups where we discussed ways to reduce waste, pollution, energy etc… This was beneficial for us all as we were able to help each other come up with ideas on how to lessen our litter and come up with efficient and effective ways to fight climate change and revitalise our earth. This also gave us the opportunity to exchange with other students from different schools and countries which further enhanced our communicational skills and our understanding of different cultures.
Overall this event challenged our ecological thinking and widened our perspective of waste management. As a unity, through education and participation, we will be able to make a change, thanks to the Erasmus + project.
