Italian talk with Marco Varvello

On Thursday 27 June, the director of RAI ( Italian National TV) Marco Varvello, came to the Lycée to meet all the italianists of 1ere and some students of 2nde to talk about his books: Brexit Blues, Londra anni 20, and Passo Falso. Some ex- students of the Lycée that are now at University, joined for the talk together with the Italian teacher Mme Ialenti.

Marco Varvello shared his view through his books and how European young people have been affected by Brexit. He also talked about the imminent elections that took place the 4th July. Students asked about his career as journalist and as a writer and also asked how difficult has become his job taking into consideration social medias and fake news. Marco Varvello encouraged the students to find passion and determination in what they do and use wisely their time in school being also active citizen and take part to the world outside school.

The event concluded with a positive look to the future and the awareness that the past cannot be undone but we can do better for the future. It was a very interesting talk.
