On Friday 17th June, our class had the chance to watch the dazzling musical AND JULIET, a performance about diversity and inclusion. We had previously read and studied the classic tragedy by Shakespeare and were anticipating nothing less than a masterpiece.
In this musical, Juliet embraces her power reclaiming herself and what she wants. The phenomenal acting and choice of songs brought the show to life. The performance had all the crucial elements and managed to adapt the text to the modern world.
It makes a statement on gender equality and also breaks race barriers.
We would like to thank our teachers, Mrs Gibert-Pein and Mrs McAllister for giving us the opportunity to go and see this inspirational show!
